Public Relations Intern

Located in our main office in Los Angeles, this position plays a key role in executing all public relations initiatives for the firm.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES

  • Driven to win
  • A sense of humor
  • Mac and PC knowledge required
  • Experience with database tools a plus

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate specific activities to implement the firm's public relations strategies
  • Assist in creation media communications and tracking, prepare/proof client reports, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Coordinate research efforts to identify and track media, regionally and nationally
  • Track client collateral inventory to carry out direct mail outreach
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings with Public Relations team
  • Think creatively about client approach to media that garners press opportunities
  • Perform other special projects as required by CEO

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to take initiative and work independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong team player who collaborates well with others
  • Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple requests

Business Development Intern

  • Coordinate specific activities to implement the firm's business development strategies
  • Assist in creation and maintenance of prospect databases and tracking, prepare/proof database reports, and provide administrative support as needed.
  • Coordinate research efforts to identify and track new prospects in target markets
  • Track new business collateral inventory to carry out direct mail outreach
  • Participate in regular strategy meetings with Marketing and New Business Development team
  • Perform other special projects as required by CEO
